Who was the best of the best?
That’s an extremely subjective question that’s hard to answer, especially when weighing different conferences and the levels they produce.
But we took a swing at it nonetheless, honoring New England’s top Division 3 women’s players from the 2022 season. Our Best XI is arranged in a 3-4-3 formation, drawing on 10 different programs.
They just missed out, but we still wanted to recognize those like Brandeis senior forward Juliette Carreiro (Upton, Mass.) and MIT graduate student forward Karenna Groff (Weston, Mass.). Only so many spots were up for grabs
