From a list of 250 names across the country, 80 players have been chosen to compete in the first Allstate All-America Cup July 31 in Orlando, Fla., in conjunction with the MLS All-Star Game against Atletico Madrid.
Twenty players are split across four teams, forming 40 boys and 40 girls who will feature in games broadcast on ESPNU, with the boys at 12 p.m. and the girls at 2 p.m. They'll also be honored at halftime of the MLS-Atleti game.
In all, 11 players with ties to New England are spread across teams coached by former U.S. national team legends in Taylor Twellman, Brian McBride, Julie Foudy and Brandi Chastain. Every player is a rising senior.
Here's a deeper look at locals to watch for during these nationally-broadcast games.
