The 2020 high school soccer season across New England was, in a word, unusual.
To highlight a few areas: State champions were crowned in just three of six states (New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont), teams in Massachusetts had to play with rule modifications due to the COVID-19 pandemic and everyone faced a regionalized schedule of some kind.
Despite those variations, we're spotlighting New England's top high school talent from the 2020 season. The below 40 players shined through skill, importance to their team and next-level projection.
This All-Region story is organized by state, and teams from Connecticut and Massachusetts (the region's largest states) had the most representatives. We originally embarked upon a Best XI format, but moved to a more all-encompassing structure.
