Zachary Herivaux's path toward the 2017 season changed course before it even commenced in earnest.
In a Feb. 15 Desert Diamond Cup game against the Houston Dynamo, the 21-year-old midfielder suffered a crushing tackle at the hands of Colombian midfielder Juan David Cabezas. Herivaux’s ultimate diagnosis was a high ankle sprain, and a three-month spell on the sidelines followed suit.
