For top-notch high school soccer players in the Class of 2025, June 15 was a day that was worth circling on the calendar.
That date marked the beginning of the contact period for NCAA Division 1 and 2 coaches, meaning they could officially communicate with high school athletes about their interest in recruiting them. It allows for real conversations and interactions between players and college coaches, and will ultimately determine which program a player chooses for their future at the next level.
Every year, New England is home to some of the most highly recruited players in the nation, thanks in large part to the talent-rich prep schools and club programs that reside in the region. The Class of 2025 is no different, as the coming weeks and months will undoubtedly bring commitments from an abundance of future college standouts, both on the boys side and the girls side.
