The waiting game continues.
The NCAA Division I Council announced Wednesday evening that the in-person recruiting dead period has been extended through May 31, citing the continued wide-ranging impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The dead period was previously pushed back to April 15, so this six-week addition makes it nearly 15 months since the limitations were first instituted last spring. Like past appendages, D-I coaches around the region weren’t too surprised when whispers and rumors became official.
