Geoff Cameron looks for a pass against Inter Miami CF. (FC Cincinnati)
Nearly a decade after departing for Stoke City and the Premier League, Geoff Cameron (Attleboro, Mass.) is back in Major League Soccer.
Cameron signed a two-year deal (plus an option year) with FC Cincinnati late last week, then made his debut on Sunday in the club’s TQL Stadium opener, a 3-2 setback against Inter Miami CF.
The 35-year-old center back spent the last three seasons at Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship, captaining the London-based side. But it was announced in early May that he’d be leaving QPR and heading back to the United States, leading to this FC Cincinnati opportunity.
