Four New England college players have been named to Canada’s roster for the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship.
Canada’s 20-player squad will be coached by Cindy Tye and will compete from Feb. 25 to March 12 for one of four berths to the global tournament. The Concacaf tournament serves as Canada's qualification route for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Costa Rica 2022.
Canada will play in Group G with matches against Saint Kitts & Nevis (Feb. 25), El Salvador (Feb. 27) and Trinidad and Tobago (March 1). From Group G, three nations will advance to the knockout phase. Canada won the women’s under-20 Concacaf championship in 2004 and 2008.
