After going state-by-state to highlight the top boys high school players across New England, our girls series gets underway with 20 standouts throughout Massachusetts.
The emergence of the Girls Academy League, which allows players to compete for their high school, creates an interesting layer in the MIAA landscape. Those who were previously immersed in the 10-month academy season could return to the club-school model that's long defined ECNL and NPL players.
Now, dozens have established their place as top MIAA players who are preparing to chase league and state titles in 2020 (COVID-19 uncertainty aside). Many are part of our Class of 2021 and Class of 2022 databases, too.
