Before the U.S. women’s national team departs for the Japan Summer Olympics, the two-time defending FIFA World Cup champions will return to Connecticut for the first time since 2018, it was announced Wednesday.
The USWNT is coming to UConn’s Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., for send-off matches against Mexico on July 1 and July 5.
The games will feature the USWNT’s entire 18-player Olympic roster after head coach Vlatko Andonovski determines his final squad in late June.
