Seacoast United’s U-19 team is trending up as the spring season nears, and should receive a significant boost come then from Tyler Swanbeck, a new addition and holding midfielder.
The 18-year-old led Hebron Academy to a second consecutive Class C title in November, then started all three of Seacoast’s matches at the Development Academy showcase in early December.
He’s drawing serious Division 1 interest, and was a major reason why they went 1-2 at the showcase, setting the tone for a potential climb up the Northeast Division standings.
To learn more about Swanbeck, we caught up with him by phone before the New Year.
Let’s get right into our chat with Swanbeck, where he talks about his father Kurt, soccer in Maine, Seacoast and more.
