As crazy it might sound, the college soccer season is less than four months away. Club soccer and Development Academy seasons will come to a close in early July, and then all focus will shift to the school-centered approach in the fall.
From that, New England Soccer Journal has highlighted some of the region’s top players – 15, to be exact – who are set to join Division 1 women’s programs in the coming months. If all goes to plan, these players should be future stars on teams in our backyard.
With over 300 Division 1 women’s programs, there are almost endless options out there. Yet, year after year, the region’s top talent finds its way to Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern, Providence College, UConn and more. The local options are simply that vast.
