Timothy Donovan (Litchfield, Conn.) has relied on the path less traveled nowadays for top youth soccer players, starring for his local high school and playing club.
That decision has paid off, though, with the Class of 2021 forward announcing late last week that he’s verbally committed to Colgate.
One of seven forwards from New England named a United Soccer Coaches Fall High School All-American last December, Donovan also plays for FSA FC’s U-17 ECNL team. Donovan, 17, will enter his senior year already holding a program record 78 goals for Litchfield High School.
