We’re still roughly well out from the 2018 college soccer season, but it’s never too early to look ahead to locals who could make their name known in the Division 1 ranks.
From that, New England Soccer Journal presents its Top 50 rankings of D1 Women’s players to keep an eye on this coming this fall. To qualify for this last, we had a simple criteria: Call one of New England’s six states home.
That’s why readers will find players from outside the region, including six in our Top 10 alone. Many have youth national team experience, featured for local prep/high schools and starred on the club scene. Of note, there’s a heavy alum presence from Connecticut FC (eight), FC Stars (15) and the Boston Breakers/NEFC (nine).
