As a local high school coach, it always has been my hope that I could use the platform of the head-coaching role to work with and support the youth soccer program in town.
I have been on the job at Pembroke (Mass.) High School for the past three years. In my time as head varsity coach, I have now seen three senior classes come through the program and every one of them have been products of Pembroke Youth Soccer.
These boys have been teammates since they were little kids and just learning the game. The youth soccer program has served the boys well and provided a solid soccer foundation for them, which in turn has allowed many of them to reach higher levels of play, including the ability to play in college. As the steward of the boys varsity program, it now is on me to ensure that the foundation built and momentum generated stays the course.
