It’s September, which doesn’t just mean the kids are back in school. It also means your non-work hours are about to be dominated by soccer: games, practices and everything else that goes with it.
Hey, you had a good run. Sure, you had one kid playing District Selects and one participating in high school workouts and practices, but it still felt like summer. You had a vacation and beach days, and there was a certain amount of leisure going on. But all that has changed now.
There are practices nearly every day for both kids, which require carpooling and schedule balancing. The high schooler has two to three games per week and practices on the other days, so you do your best to get to as many games as possible. Meanwhile, you’ve got to get your younger player to both club and town team practices.
