Expectations were high for Simon Becher upon entering his freshman season at Holy Cross.
He'd spent the past summer training with Atlanta United 2 of the United States Soccer League and was called into U.S. U-20 national team camp. The Brooklyn, Conn., native was also named to the Development Academy U-19 East Conference Best XI for his starring role at Oakwood. A training stint with Penn FC, also of the USL, was tossed in there, too.
In many ways, mission accomplished for the 19-year-old striker.
