During the upcoming fall season, Loomis Chaffee rising junior Sebastian Pliszka (Newington, Conn.) projects as one of the NEPSAC’s top goalkeepers.
But in the meantime, the 17-year-old has signed a USL Academy Contract with Hartford Athletic, becoming the second player to accomplish that after Puerto Rico national team center back Giovanni Calderon (North Haven, Conn.) penned a similar deal on May 10.
The move allows Pliszka, who’s in the Class of 2023, to maintain amateur status and collegiate eligibility. He can still train and play for Hartford Athletic in USL-sanctioned matches, though.
