Last summer, goalkeeper Max Weinstein (Montpelier, Vt.) got his first taste of professional soccer.
He made his professional debut for New England Revolution II and made five saves in a 2-0 loss to Toronto FC II. The 6-foot, 173-pound Weinstein was solid in defeat, keeping his side in a tightly-contested match, and he clearly impressed the people who matter most, because three days after becoming the 22nd Revolution Academy player to make their pro debut with the Revolution II, Weinstein spent the day training with the Revolution’s first team.
Today, less than eight months removed from that first taste of pro soccer, Weinstein took the next major step in his budding pro career.
