The current roster for the University of Wyoming women’s soccer team doesn’t include a single player from New England.
In fact, the roster doesn’t include a single player whose hometown is located east of Texas.
But Class of 2022 goalkeeper Maddie Dion (Cumberland, R.I.), who features for Scorpions SC, is about to change all that. Dion recently committed to Wyoming, which competes in the Mountain West Conference.
"I want to get into mechanical engineering and they have a really good program there, and they also have a really good soccer program there," said Dion. "I just found it and it really just worked out well."
