Boston Bolts Class of 2024 center back Nayan Das (Lexington, Mass.) was looking for a Division 1 college program that would offer him elite academics and a chance to contribute on the field early on in his career at the next level.
He found all of that with an Ivy League university in his home state.
Das recently committed to Harvard, becoming the Bolts’ fifth Class of 2024 player to commit to a D1 program and third to commit to an Ivy League school, joining Timmy Shine (Penn) and Andres Garcia (Columbia).
"One of the big things was the coaching staff being genuinely appreciative of me as a player," said Das, who attends Lexington High School. "It seemed like I could really have a role there, even in the early years. Obviously, academics are also very important to me and played a big role in my decision."
