Make it four locals who are verbally committed to Boston College’s Class of 2022, with NEFC’s Ava McNeil (Roslindale, Mass.) choosing the ACC program just before the new year.
McNeil, who plays outside back or outside midfield/forward for their U-17 Girls Academy League team, joins NEFC midfielder Brooke Mulroney (South Weymouth, Mass.) and the Connecticut FC duo of midfielder Sophia Lowenberg (Trumbull, Conn.) and forward Sydney Segalla (Salisbury, Conn.) in picking the Eagles.
Like others before her, McNeil is encouraged by Boston College’s direction under head coach Jason Lowe. He’s amid his second season at the Division I school, shaping the future by recruiting players like McNeil.
