The boys Class of 2022 is starting to take shape across New England, with defender Matt Gardner (Norwich, Vt.) verbally committing to Northeastern earlier this summer.
Gardner, 17, is a reclassified junior at Kimball Union Academy and used to play for GPS New Hampshire before his club team shifted to Seacoast United Bedford upon the former’s dissolution.
Gardner’s two years away from playing Division I soccer under head coach Chris Gbandi (UConn alum), a former national champion and MAC Hermann Trophy winner in 2000.
