One of New Hampshire’s top high school players is heading to Merrimack, as Class of 2021 midfielder James Poschmann (Bedford, N.H) recently verbally committed to the reigning Northeast Conference regular-season champions.
Poschmann, 17, also plays club soccer for Seacoast United Bedford and helped Bedford win the NHIAA Division I state championship in 2018.
Poschmann said Merrimack checked all the boxes on his recruiting list, whether it’s being close to home or having his intended major of computer science. There's the inevitable adjustment period, too.
