Beachside U-19 MLS NEXT goalkeeper Patrick Donovan (Westport, Conn.) is heading to a perennial national championship contender for college soccer.
Donovan verbally committed to Clemson University's Class of 2022 earlier this summer, a high-profile decision that sets him on the path toward ACC minutes.
The Tigers, who are led by former Brown University head coach Mike Noonan (Westport, Conn.), last made the Division I title match in 2015. The South Carolina-based program is routinely ranked in the top 10 nationally.
