Austin Prep Class of 2022 forward Catherine Gallagher (Reading, Mass.) knew the Division 3 path was the right choice for her in terms of playing at the college level.
Once she started immersing herself in the recruiting process, it didn’t take long for Wesleyan University to emerge as her top choice.
"It was kind of the ideal situation. I talked to them for about a year, starting in the fall of my sophomore year and we just stayed in touch," said Gallagher. "Throughout COVID, I just kept sending them film and then it was the spring of my junior year that I got a call from them and I verbally committed.
"It was smooth sailing, for sure. I think the rigors of the academics really drew me in and I fell in love with the coaching staff."
