Nonetheless, the New England Revolution will return to action Thursday night (8 pm ET | TUDN, Twitter) when facing the Montreal Impact in Group C’s first match.
It’ll mark New England’s (0-2) first game in over four months, with professional soccer already back stateside via the NWSL Challenge Cup. The entire arrangement – a World Cup-style event that requires a pandemic-proof bubble (in theory) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando – has its critics, but the show goes on.
