After the last week, it’s tough to find a starting point.
We saw New Hampshire’s run of 16 straight regular season wins, dating back to last season, snapped by a draw with Yale, then followed by another draw versus Vermont, a match that saw a record crowd 5,357 on hand. Nationally, the Wildcats only slipped one spot to No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll.
Providence followed-up its 3-0 upset of No. 1 Georgetown by losing to Butler, 2-1. Despite the loss, Providence moved up four spots in this week's national poll to No. 16.
Elsewhere, Boston College and UConn both picked up their first conference wins of the season.
