Former UConn women's soccer standout Stephanie Labbé led Team Canada to its first-ever Olympic gold medal in women's soccer as the Canadians prevailed over Sweden in penalty kicks Friday.
After finishing extra time 1-1, the match went to PKs for the first time in Olympic gold-medal game history. Canada won 3-2 on penalty kicks.
