As a former assistant coach at UConn and Hartford, Kevin Bacher enjoys extensive relationships throughout the world of college soccer.
But Bacher, Oakwood’s U-17 and U-19 Development Academy coach, finds himself sharing a wry smile with old colleagues when discussing Ronan Dillow (West Hartford, Conn.).
“People have asked about him, and then when I tell him that he’s in 10th grade, they kinda laugh,” Bacher said of the forward. “I’m like, ‘Yeah he is really only in 10th grade.’ He can’t talk to anyone really yet since it’s so early and things will change, so we don’t want him to take people down the wrong path.”
