In past years, Loomis Chaffee would play host to a massive jamboree/showcase, featuring top boys prep soccer teams from the northeast.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school in Windsor, Conn., didn’t host the event in 2020 and once again won’t be hosting it this fall.
But the Pelicans and other elite programs from New England, and beyond, have an excellent event to fill the void this season.
Loomis Chaffee will be among the dozens of schools headed to the Albany, N.Y.-area this weekend for the NXT LVL Invitational at Afrim’s Sports Park in Colonie, N.Y. The Pelicans will play their annual showcase match against South Kent on Sunday (11:30 a.m.).
