COLONIE, N.Y. – It was a weekend of high-profile matchups at the annual NXT LVL Invitational boys prep showcase at Afrim’s Sports Park, just outside of Albany.
Some of those contests featured battles between New England powers, including a game that saw Class A heavyweights Milton Academy and Berkshire square off.
That match ended in a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Rivers earned a hard-fought win over Choate in a battle between an Independent School League program and a Founders League team. Elsewhere, Taft and St. Sebastian’s came home with impressive wins.
The showcase’s three days saw plenty of quality play from sides across the region, under mostly drizzly and gray skies.
