Another product of the Berkshire-Black Rock FC pipeline has joined the professional ranks, as forward Ifunanyachi Achara signed a first-team deal with Toronto FC on Friday.
Achara, who also played four years at Georgetown, had three goals in four preseason appearances for Toronto after being selected No. 25 overall in the 2020 SuperDraft.
“Achara has had a terrific preseason. He works hard, is dynamic offensively and has a great way about him where he fits very well within the group,” Toronto FC general manager Ali Curtis said. “We’re excited about adding him to the team as we feel he has a lot of potential.”
