The high school soccer season kicks off across New England this week.
Teams did indeed have a chance to compete last fall, but it was a limited sample size and a very condensed schedule for most squads, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, states like Massachusetts did not offer a state tournament in 2020.
But this season will have a more customary structure to the schedule.
With so many talented programs across the region, it’s virtually impossible to preview and forecast what every team’s fall fortune will be in 2021. But here is a look at some of the region’s teams and players to watch over the next couple of months.
