Westminster School coach Kelly Wosleger was almost apologetic as she broke the news earlier this month that her star player, midfielder Jillian Gregorski, had reclassified, and would be playing two more seasons at the school, instead of just this coming one.
She could guess the reaction from opposing coaches when the news got out: "Nuts."
It speaks to what Gregorski has meant to the resurgence of the Westminster program. A box-to-box midfielder, with a tactical awareness that allows her to play anywhere on the field, and a first-rate work ethic, she’s developed into one of the best players -- and most important players -- in New England.
"I think she’s just relentless," Wosleger said. "She’s non-stop working. There’s a summer program at Westminster that has nothing to do with soccer. (Students) had to be there at 8. Jill was up at 6 working out with her trainer beforehand. She’s insatiable."
