For the Cheshire Academy girls soccer team, a very impressive season is unfolding this fall.
Under head coach Andrei Popescu, who is in his first season at the helm for the program, Cheshire took a perfect 8-0-0 record into Wednesday’s game vs. The King School.
Not only was the team unbeaten, they had outscored opponents, 34-8, in those eight contests. This comes after a 2021 season in which Cheshire struggled to come up with victories.
Still, the talent and elements for success were in place. Popescu says the positive results have been all about the players buying into the culture he is trying to instill.
