The NEPSAC unveiled the brackets for its four girls soccer championship tournaments on Sunday, inviting eight teams to compete for titles this week in Classes A, B, C and D.
This post will focus on the Class A tournament, which I discussed with New England Soccer Journal editor Matt Langone on his podcast last week. Quarterfinal games are Wednesday, followed by the semifinals on Saturday and the championship on Sunday.
Aside from one surprise, my take on which teams would make up the field was accurate.
So, now that it’s official, let’s break down the field -- favorites, dark horses and a party crasher.
