The region’s prep school girls soccer season moves into a higher gear this week.
While there has been an early result or two that raised eyebrows -- preseason No. 1 Worcester Academy dropped its opener, 1-0, to a Noble and Greenough team coming off a non-playoff season -- the drama will intensify in the days and weeks ahead.
This is one of those weeks, highlighted by some intriguing non-league matchups, including a rematch of last year’s NEPSAC Class A championship game, which saw Buckingham Browne & Nichols beat Worcester, 5-0.
