While much focus tends to fall on the Division 1 ranks, the vast majority of college soccer players find themselves at Division 3 programs. There are 418 programs, after all, spread throughout the country.
Here in New England, that trend is furthered by the fact that eight conferences call the region home, with the NESCAC widely regarded as D3’s staunchest conference. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that local club, academy and prep players enjoy prominent careers at these local schools.
Mindful of that, New England Soccer Journal has broken down some of the top locals to watch for at D3 New England schools throughout the 2018 season. To be explicit, players qualified for this list if they're from a New England state and play for a D3 school in New England.
