
At the MLS Next Cup Playoffs this weekend in Tennessee, seven New England teams from four clubs represented the region on the league’s biggest stage at the U-15 to U-19 age groups.
Reaching the playoffs is a major accomplishment for each team. But advancing in the single-elimination tournament is an even loftier achievement.
The MLS Next Cup Playoffs features the country’s top 32 teams per age group, with teams qualifying based on results from league play or by winning their group at MLS Next Flex in May. All games are held at the Richard Siegel Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
