I started covering MLS Next for the New England Soccer Journal two months ago, and over that time, I've enjoyed watching the region's best players battle every weekend in highly competitive matches.
It's truly been a blast.
I've written stories about standout players from all the matches I've attended this fall. I saw NEFC, Seacoast United, IFA New England, FC Greater Boston Bolts, Valeo Futbol Club, and Oakwood Soccer Club play at the U17 and U19 levels. So, this list doesn’t account for all New England clubs. But I am attending MLS Next Fest this weekend in Indio, Calif., so I’m excited to finally watch the New England Revolution, Beachside SC, and Bayside FC play.
The players mentioned in this story have already been written about. But with the regular season on pause until February and recruiting season heating up, I felt it was a good time to highlight them again. And of course, countless players impressed me who didn't make it in the story. This region is filled with talent.
Without further ado, here are five MLS Next players who impressed me during the fall.
