Four months after their previous MLS match, the New England Revolution at long last have competitive soccer in their crosshairs.
MLS announced Wednesday its return to play during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a World Cup-style tournament set for July 8 - Aug. 11 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Bay Lake, Fla.
The competition includes six groups, with a draw set for Thursday at 3:30 pm to determine which teams go where. The Round of 16 will take place July 25-28, where single elimination begins through the quarterfinal (July 30 or Aug 1), semifinal (Aug. 5 or 6) and championship (Aug. 11) rounds.
