Over the past decade or so, Providence College has found success with landing goalkeepers in Major League Soccer.
Chris Konopka was drafted in 2007 by the Kansas City Wizards, Tim Murray (Haverhill, Mass.) latched on with the New England Revolution in 2010 and Keasel Broome was picked by the San Jose Earthquakes in 2013.
After a few quiet years on the goalkeeper front, Colin Miller could soon join the Friars-to-MLS ranks. The redshirt senior is one of seven 'keepers invited to the 2019 MLS Combine, held Jan 3-9 in Orlando, Fla., in advance of the Jan. 11 SuperDraft in Chicago, Ill.
"My goal is to go down there and put my best foot forward," Miller, from Bel Air, Md., said.
