WALPOLE, Mass. -- For the sixth time since 2006, Concord-Carlisle High School is an MIAA boys soccer state champion.
Only this time, it's the No. 1 Patriots' first title in Division 1 after they took down No. 2 Needham, 2-0, at Walpole High School on Saturday.
"These games, I don't know, it's something about these guys. They just rise to the occasion," Concord-Carlisle head coach Ray Pavlik said. "They just played such as a team tonight and battled for each other. So, this has got to be as good as any of them, that's for sure. I think all of us kind of until the whistle blew, couldn't really believe we were in a position to do it. Just thrilled. Just thrilled for the kids."
