The first 10 days of the MIAA boys' high school season are in the books and a lot has happened already.
Five teams in our preseason Top 10 poll suffered defeats, and three new teams joined the rankings in this week's edition. There's also been a slew of standout performers.
Massive individual goal outbursts were the theme of the first week of the season. We had several hat tricks, some four-goal performances and even had two strikers score five times in a game. These players headline our first edition of peak performers for the 2025 season.
Throughout the season, we'll run a weekly story highlighting the top performers from across the state, coinciding with our bi-weekly rankings. It's impossible to attend every match, so we'll be relying on reports from coaches and social media accounts. Please also send any nominations to [email protected].
