Buckingham Browne & Nichols continues to accumulate high-level Division I placements in the Class of 2022, with forward Meredith McDermott (Nashua, N.H.) verbally committing to the University of Virginia earlier this week.
With an ACC future, McDermott joins classmates Molly Martin (Acton, Mass.) and Sarah Sullivan (Dedham, Mass.) as players heading to top programs at the next level. The midfielders are bound for Penn State and UPenn, respectively, and fellow forward Sam Suplee (Weymouth, Mass.) is expected to follow suit.
They all also compete for FC Stars in the ECNL, so more common threads emerge for a group with collective and individual aspirations.
