The 80-degree days, the California lifestyle, the food – Mark Segbers is loving it all during his time at Orange County SC. On the field, matters are going just as well for the rookie midfielder who’s five games into his season-long loan from the New England Revolution.
Selected ninth overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, Segbers has two goals and two assists with Orange County, emerging as a key contributor for the USL side. So far, head coach Braeden Cloutier, a former Revs player in the early 2000s, loves what he’s seen from the former University of Wisconsin standout.
“It feels like he’s been here for forever,” Cloutier said.
