Over the past several years, top scorers in the Independent School League have come from programs you might expect.
In both 2018 and 2016, Brooks striker Duncan Sutherland (Millville, Mass.), who’s now at Harvard, led the ISL in scoring. In 2017, St. Mark’s-turned-Penn striker Matt Leigh (Holliston, Mass.) topped the charts, and in 2015, Milton Academy attacking midfielder Jerry Ozor led the way before his Boston University days.
But for much of this fall, the ISL scoring race has featured an unexpected source: Liam Rhatigan, a senior at St. George’s.
