When Karenna Groff weighed her college options, she found something very intriguing when researching the roster of MIT’s women’s soccer team.
It was there that she came across so many incredible student-athletes who were not only excelling on the field, but off it as well. That point is when she made her mind up to do just the same, a move that has paid off for both the Weston, Mass., native and the program alike.
"You look at the players on the field and you see that the star of the women’s soccer team is an amazing holding midfielder, but they’re also working on creating a nuclear reactor and all these things on the side," Groff explained. "I looked at the players in high school and wanted to be like that someday."
