After news dropped Wednesday that the Ivy League cancelled athletics through January 2021, questions immediately arose as to which other Division I conferences could follow suit.
Speaking with three Ivy League coaches on Thursday, all said that it’s likely that others, especially at the mid-major level, will come to the same conclusion. Conference across D-I soccer have announced COVID-19 response plans for the fall – i.e. schedule adjustments, divisions to minimize travel – but that doesn’t guarantee games in 2020.
